KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8 (Bernama) — International Rubber Consortium Ltd (IRCo) has appointed Datuk Dr Salmiah Ahmad Chief Executive Officer effective Sept 1, 2015.
In a statement today, the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities said Salmiah was appointed to lead IRCo’s office in Bangkok, Thailand.
“With her vast experience as the former Director-General of Malaysian Rubber Board, she will add new breath to IRCo while implementing all programmes related to the International Tripartite Rubber Council and IRCo’s 10-year plan.
“These include intensifying efforts for a closer collaboration with other natural rubber-roducing countries in the region, particularly Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam,” IRCo said.
